Three years later, the mystery of the businessman’s murder was revealed.

Three years after the murder, the criminal branch of the police (CID) has revealed the secret of the murder of the much-talked about Kushtia businessman Shahidul Islam (48). Rozina, the wife of the brother-in-law involved in the murder, and her husband Momin have been arrested.

They confessed to the murder and gave a confessional statement under section 164 in court. CID DIG Sheikh Nazmul Alam confirmed the matter.

It is worth mentioning that Shahidul Islam disappeared on December 23, 2016. Shahidul’s mother, Tamirun Nesa, filed a murder case in the Kushtia court. Shahidul’s brother-in-law, Motahar’s wife Rozina Begum, his father Jabbar Sheikh, and his mother Motiran Nesa were charged in the case.

The court ordered the police to take the case as a normal case. After the police, the police headquarters ordered the CID to investigate the kidnapping case in November 2019.

CID DIG Sheikh Nazmul Alam said: “I arrested Rozina Begum from Kumarkhali on November 22 after taking responsibility for investigating the abduction case.” Rozina then made a confessional statement. He confessed to the murder. Rozina Begum was married to Shahidul’s brother-in-law, Motaher, in an extramarital affair behind the murder. Since Motaher did not have a good home, he and his wife stayed at Dulabhai Shahidul’s home. At that time, Shahidul fell in love with his brother-in-law’s wife.

When the matter became known, Motahar moved into a separate house with his wife. However, a few years later, Motahar died. Meanwhile, Shahidul’s wife also died. So Shahidul tried to regularize his relationship with his sister-in-law’s wife. You want me to marry her. However, despite being in a relationship, Rozina refuses to marry Shahidul. Meanwhile, criticism of this relationship began in his village. Later, Rozina moved into her father’s house. However, Rozina had contact with Shahidul.

CID (SI) Deputy Inspector Sujit Kumar Ghosh, the investigating officer on the case, said Rozina moved to Manikganj in Dhaka a few months later. Akij works in the group. There she fell in love with a man named Momin. Momin’s village house is in Sreepur, Magura. Rozina married him. But even then Shahidul would call him. Later, Momin and Rozina planned to kill Shahidul. Then the two of them moved from Dhaka to Sreepur in Magura. Rozina informed Shahidul by phone that she would marry him. He took her to Sreepur on the night of December 23, 2016 to talk about marriage.

Shahidul bought a kilo of sweets at Langalbad Bazar in Sreepur. Rozina and Momin are already waiting for the dress in that market. The two dresses were carried out on foot from an open field.

Showing a distant light, Rozina told Shahidul: ‘That illuminated house belongs to my girlfriend, I will go there.’ They then took him for a walk in the open country. After traveling some distance in the field, Rozina and Momin together grabbed Shahidul. There was a fight between them for about half an hour. Then when Shahidul got tired, Rozina sat on his chest and took his hands. Momen stabbed her several times in the throat with a knife. However, Shahidul did not cut his throat at first because he did not have a knife. Later, Momin digs with the thin tip of the knife. Then the dresses become opaque. Momin cut the veins in his hands and feet to ensure his death. They then left the body there and went to Momin’s house.

Momin and Rozina also lost their hands when they were stabbed during the fight. So they went home and said that they had been caught by the thief, so they cut off their hands. The next day, Sreepur police recovered Shahidul’s body as an unknown. It is believed that he was killed by extremists. Although it was a murder case, the police were unable to complete the investigation and provided the final report of the murder case. The body remains unknown. Because no one could recognize Shahidul in that area.

Sujit Ghosh, the investigating officer on the case, further said: “When I went to investigate the kidnapping case, I first tried to find out where Shahidul’s last post was.” The last location of the mobile he used was at Langalbad Bazaar in Sreepur, Magura. The SIM used by Rozina was also in the same area. Then we arrested Rozina de Ashulia in Dhaka and began the interrogation. He later admitted it. Then I also arrested Momin. He also confessed.

Following Rozina’s confession, the CID will be able to search the Sreepur police station in Magura and report that on December 24, 2016, according to Rozina’s statement, the body of a man from the area was recovered. Who has been involved as unknown. Although it is a murder case, the final report has been given.

DIG Sheikh Nazmul Alam said: “We went to investigate the kidnapping case and found out that Shahidul had been killed.” We will appeal to revive the murder case. The case was turned over to the CID after the police and PBI investigated it.
