Asaduzzaman, a bus driver from Chuadanga’s Purbasha Paribahan, said he left Chuadanga yesterday at 8pm and arrived at the ferry terminal around 11am. I’ve been stuck on the dock for about 12 hours. I’ve been sitting on the bus all night. Passengers are also tired of waking up at night. Passengers in particular have had to deal with various problems, including going to the bathroom.

Monnaf Mollah, in charge of the Daulatdia naval police outpost, said the passengers were distressed because they were trapped in the ferry terminal. But the naval police were always busy to make sure no one could cross the river on a trawler in the fog.

Ferry service started on the Chandpur-Shariatpur waterway
