Said the former director general of the Department of Primary Education (current Secretary of Defense). Abu Hena said. The Appeals Division has summoned five people, including Mostafa Kamal. They have been cited for disobeying the Supreme Court’s order to appoint teachers in Gaibandha primary schools. They have been asked to appear in court on December 14 at 9 am and explain why they were not named. The other four who have been summoned are the deputy director of the Department of Primary Education. Ramzan Ali, Gaibandha District Primary Education Officer. Aminul Islam, Gaibandha Sadar Upazila’s Primary Education Officer. Abdus Salam and Gaibandha Sadar Upazila, Deputy Primary Education Officer, Masumul Islam.

The Appeals Division headed by Chief Judge Mohammad Iman Ali approved the order on Monday. Despite the order of the Supreme Court, the Appeals Division approved the order in a contempt of court petition filed by Beauty Begum, who won first place in the government primary school recruitment test in Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. Attorney ABM Altaf Hossain was the petitioner’s attorney. Lawyer Shafiq Mahmood was on the other side.

Lawyer ABM Altaf Hossain told reporters that Beauty Begum was the first in the 2008 recruitment exam at the Gaibandha Sadar Upazila government primary school. But instead of naming her, the Department of Elementary Education named Nazma Sultana, who came second in the exam. Not being named, Beauty Begum filed a case in the Gaibandha Deputy Judges Court. The court ordered the appointment of Beauty Begum. The Superior Court also upheld the order. Nazma Sultana appealed to the Appeals Division against the High Court order. On August 3, 2017, the Appeals Division in an order rejected Nazma Sultana’s request and ordered to appoint Beauty Begum within 15 days. A contempt of court case was filed against Beauty Begum for failing to name her despite the Appellate Division’s order. The court issued a contempt rule against the parties. The defendants did not respond to the rule. Faced with this situation, the Appeals Chamber has summoned the interested parties.
