The Serum Institute of India has applied for approval for the emergency use of Corona vaccine in Oxford, India.

Earlier on Sunday, the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer requested urgent approval of its vaccine in India. Serum applied for Oxford vaccine approval within 24 hours.

According to The Hindu, Serum has applied to the Director General of Drug Control of India (DGCI) for urgent approval, citing the urgent use of corona and the widespread interest in vaccines.

Bahrain recently became the second country in the world to allow the use of the Pfizer vaccine. Previously, the UK was the first country to allow the use of Pfizer’s corona vaccine.

The third phase of the Oxford Corona Ticker trial is underway in different parts of India. The Pune-based Serum Institute of India is conducting the trial. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is helping.

Early Wednesday, the UK government issued an emergency authorization for the ticker made by the US agency.
