Hefazat-e-Islam Deputy Secretary General and Bangladesh Acting Secretary General Khilafah Majlis Mamunul Haque. Old painting
The Deputy Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam and the Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis Mamunul Haque over the sculpture is being criticized. He opened his mouth with this debate.
He said: “I am saying unequivocally that we love the late Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great leader of independence, the architect of this state, above party and opinion, we respect him, we respect him, we pray for the forgiveness of his soul.” .
Mamunul Haque said this while addressing a discussion on his Facebook page Monday night about the “general situation arising from the dispute over the sculpture, sedition case.”
At the time, he said: “After this statement, I would ask people to consider how logical it is to condemn us as attackers for the honor of Bangabandhu.”
Mamunul Haque said: “I am opposed to sculpture for purely religious reasons. There is no political will. There are no additional allergies to Bangabandhu. I remember Bangabandhu as a deceased Muslim leader. He will be ashamed of Allah if his sculpture is made. Our great leader should be ashamed of Allah in the afterlife, this is not what we want. From the place of benevolence, I ask the state and the government not to put Bangabandhu to shame before Allah. We will comply with this request.
The Hifazat leader said on Facebook Live: ‘An unwanted situation has been created in Kushtia by breaking the Bangabandhu sculpture in the dead of night. It is undesirable, sad and highly reprehensible. Someone is trying to get my name involved in breaking the sculpture. But I say in very unequivocal language, I have never said anything about taking the law into my own hands through any of my statements or words. No one who respects the law and order of the country can do that.
“My statement is clear, from the Islamic point of view, it is illegal and haram to keep the sculpture; I have informed the appropriate authorities. We have made it clear in our speech that if Allah Pak gives us the capacity at the state level, then we will organize all activities in the light of Sharia, InshaAllah, ‘Mamunul Haque said.
Mamunul Haque further said: ‘An anti-Islamic atmosphere was created in 2013 across Ganajagaran Mancha. The revolutionary Mancha Liberation War is also trying to create such a situation.
