Fatema Akhter Babli murdered and arrested. Selim
Fatema Akhter Babli (26 years old). Lived in Jiangar, Keraniganj, Dhaka. Babli’s husband, Abdus Samad, used to run the family by selling hard-boiled eggs. Their only son also studied at a local madrasa.
Still, Babli-Samad’s family was doing well. But on September 26, Fatema Akhter Babli was murdered in that house in Jiangar. The police recovered Babli’s body with his hands and feet tied with a scarf.
He was later arrested in the incident. A young man named Selim (25). After killing the housewife Babli, the murderer Selim went to Manot Ghat with his friends to celebrate with about 30/40 lakhs. But after reaching Manot Ghat, a local looters ring seized the money from him. Not only that, Joy, Selim’s friend, had already informed the gang of kidnappers.
The information has come to light after speaking with the investigating officer of the Babli murder case, the case statement and the interested parties. Babli’s father died after this incident. Babul has filed a murder case at the Keraniganj police station.
In the statement of the case, she mentioned that Babli’s husband, Abdus Samad, went to Kholamora Gudaraghat on the afternoon of September 26 to sell hard-boiled eggs as usual. That night he returned around 1 am and saw Babli’s headless body. Inform family members by phone immediately. Then the police came and recovered Babli’s body.
He further said that the killers also took cash, gold chains, rings, bracelets and mobile phones from his daughter’s home.
The way to kill after alienation
After this incident, the Keraniganj Model Police arrested a young man named Selim in the initial investigation. Later, the police discovered during interrogation that Babli had a long-term extramarital affair with Selim. The police obtained several proofs of this through mobile phones.
Police said Selim went to Babli’s home on the night of the day of the murder (September 26). Babli was home alone then. Babli decided to move out of the area as her relationship with Selim deteriorated. That’s why Selim killed Babli.
After the murder, Selim took 30-40 lakhs from Babli’s house and went to Manot Ghat with his friends Joy and Mamun in the evening.
The victim of the robbery is the murderer himself.
According to the relevant sources, Selim was abducted around 10pm after going to Manot Ghat. A case was filed at the Dohar Police Station in this regard. PBI is investigating the case. On the other hand, the PBI was given the responsibility of investigating the Babli murder case on November 19.
According to PBI, while investigating the kidnapping case, PBI obtained sensational information. Her friend Joy called the gang that had taken money from Selim.
The PBI arrested three people named Joy, Alif and Delwar in a raid in the Jiangar and Kalindi areas on the night of December 3. The stolen mobile phone was also recovered.

He added that Selim has been in preventive detention for five days.
Another young woman is missing
According to the police and related sources, the arrested Selim had an affair with a young woman named Mina (18) from Jiangar in 2016. Later, Selim took the girl from home after showing the temptation of marriage.
But even today the family could not find the young woman. Minar’s father, who disappeared in the incident, also filed a complaint with the Keraniganj Police Station on 11 November 2016. The young woman is still missing.
