The minimum temperature in those parts of the country can drop by six to eight degrees Celsius during the cold snap.
Meanwhile, a Meteorology Department review in November said the country received 43.8mm less rain than normal in that month. Only the Barisal division received normal rainfall. The rest of the area has received less than half of the rainfall.
