The coronavirus has spread in the Comilla Medical College PCR laboratory. So the crown test has been closed since November 29. The closure of the sample test has interrupted the medical care of the patients providing the samples.
Meanwhile, the Office of the Civil Surgeon also stopped collecting samples because the PCR lab is closed. Although patients who had given samples 2 to 1 days ago were sent to Dhaka for analysis, the Office of the Civil Surgeon did not receive the reports of those samples until Saturday evening. Foreigners have suffered the most from these problems, including the closure of PCR laboratories.
Comilla Medical College Director Mostafa Kamal Azad said that the coronavirus had spread to all the furniture in the PCR laboratory and the room at Comilla Medical College. Due to which the sample test in the laboratory is closed.
He added that alcohol and disinfectants are being used in the PCR laboratory to get rid of the coronavirus. People have come from Dhaka to wash and disinfect all the furniture in the room, including the laboratory. Once the lab is sterilized, there is a chance that sample testing will resume next Sunday or Monday.
