Tensions in Kushtia city, vandalized BNP office

Tensions rise in Kushtia over the vandalism of a sculpture under construction by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The criminals vandalized the Kushtia district BNP office around 4:30 pm on Saturday (December 5). On the other hand, around 7.30 pm, empty shots were fired in front of the under-construction sculpture of Bangabandhu at the Kushtia city crossing.

The BNP district deputy secretary, Abdur Razzak Bachchu, alleged that the attack and vandalism took place at the BNP district office around 4:30 pm on Saturday. During this time, chairs, tables, and office furniture were vandalized.

The district’s BNP president, Syed Mehedi Ahmed, said the leaders and activists left the office around 3 p.m. after a meeting at the office at noon. The office was open, there was only one pawn. You can know around 5pm that the office was attacked and vandalized. The matter was reported to the police.

Abul Kalam, Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Kushtia Model Police Station, did not respond to the call.

By the way, sometime on Friday (December 4) night, criminals vandalized the Bangabandhu sculpture under construction at the intersection of five roads in the city of Kushtia. In protest, leaders of the district workers’ league held a protest on Saturday.
