Thousands of Bangladeshis will benefit from a US court ruling to protect underage immigrants

The New York Times reports that more than eight million new immigrants have benefited from the law in recent years. About three lakhs of newcomers are waiting to apply for validity. Former President Barack Obama launched the ‘Daka’ program in 2012 to enter the US immigration process. The law is designed to protect underage and unregistered immigrants to the United States. The order to enforce this security provision is a blow to the Trump administration.

In September 2016, after President Donald Trump took office, he issued a directive to completely halt the ‘Daka’ program. Such initiatives were taken as part of the Trump administration’s immigration crunch program. Immigrant groups have filed multiple lawsuits against his anti-immigrant measures.

Attorneys who challenged the Trump administration’s decision to “call” are naturally happy with the verdict. One of them is Karen Tomlin. He is the director of an organization called Justice Action Center. “This is a special day for young immigrants who have the benefit of calling,” Karen told the New York Times.
