Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that steps are being taken to deal with the second wave of coronavirus (Covid-19).

The Prime Minister spoke at the closing parade of the 95th batch of BGB recruits at the Biruttam Mojibur Rahman Parade Ground of Border Guard Training Center and College (BGTC & C) in Satkania in Chittagong on Saturday (December 5). The Prime Minister said: “The incidence of winter is increasing and the crown is being infected again in America and Europe. Each of you will protect yourself. Instruct the family to stay safe. Protect your friends. Follow the rules of hygiene so that the coronavirus does not harm us, everyone will realize that.

He said: “We are already taking steps to deal with the second looming network, the prevalence of the crown. Also, we have taken appropriate steps by allocating money for the purchase of vaccines.

‘That the people of our country are healthy, have a better life, have a beautiful life, that was the goal of the father of the nation, that is also my goal. InshaAllah, I will build a beautiful and prosperous golden Bangladesh in Bangladesh with the ideals of the father of the nation.

Sheikh Hasina said: “We have decided that not a single person will be left homeless. Between the centenary of Bangabandhu’s birth and the golden jubilee of independence in 2021, we will build houses for every landless and homeless person, give them an address. In addition, we will illuminate all the houses, that is, we will also take measures to supply electricity to all the houses.

Stating that the poverty rate has been reduced from 40 to 20 percent, the Prime Minister said: “Our goal was to reduce it by two to three percent in the near future. But our efforts have continued. It can be mentioned that the basic training of the 95th batch of recruits began on June 14 at the Border Guard College and Training Center. Of the total 691 recruits trained at BGTC & C, 590 are male and 201 are female. In addition to BGTC & C, a total of 2,524 recruits, including 1,633 recruits from recruit pool 95, completed basic training at six training locations. After a successful 24-week hard and arduous training, his military career got off to a good start with a formal swearing-in and closing parade.

After receiving the salute at the final parade of the 95th batch of recruits, the prime minister gave various advice and speeches to the young soldiers. At the beginning of his speech, he remembered the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with deep respect. At the same time, he paid tribute to 618 intrepid heroes of BGB, especially Bir Shrestha Lansnayek Munshi Abdur Rauf, Bir Shrestha Lansnayek Nur Mohammad Sheikh and for their unique contribution in the liberation war, he paid tribute to eight great heroes, 32 heroic heroes and 7 heroic heroes.
