Hasan Mahmud, Information Minister and Deputy Secretary General of the Awami League, said: “The role of the media is very important in stopping the forces of evil that are trying to turn the country back.”
He spoke as a keynote guest during the launch of the Bangladesh 50th anniversary program Betar Khulna Kendra online from his official residence on Minto Road in the capital on Friday afternoon.
Information Secretary Khwaja Mia, Bangladesh Director General Betar Hosne Ara Talukder Online and Khulna City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq, Khulna District Council Chairman Sheikh Harun Aur Rashid attended the event in Khulna Betar Kendra.
Information Minister Hasan Mahmud said: “Radical groups have been trying to roll back the country for centuries. Even today, various conspiracies against the country are brewing, misinterpretations and fatwas are being issued on various subjects. These fatwas makers have created instability in society by issuing fatwas at different times.
In this context, the role of all media, including radio, is very important, Hasan Mahmud said. . We also have to prioritize culture and heritage in the entertainment field, then we can lead the country in the direction of Bangabandhu’s dream by facing the aggression of the culture of heaven.
