Later, around 2 PM, they exited the north gate and headed towards Vijayanagar. The protesters gathered together with the police used the baton to disperse them when they tried. Several people were injured. One person has also been arrested. However, the police did not accept the arrest.
Motijheel Zone ADC Enamul Haque Mithu told reporters: “Any gathering without permission has been prohibited. Even then, after the prayers, some people got up to protest. We told them to move. Later, when we tried to go towards the Shahbagh crossing, we dispersed them. They tried to break through the barricade and go to Shahbag.
