After the prayers, the protesters began chanting slogans while standing on the steps of the north gate of Baitul Mukarram. At that time, they chanted slogans like ‘I want to fight, I want to fight and live’, ‘Be one of the Muslims of the world’. At that moment the police told them to leave. After chanting slogans for about half an hour, the protesters descended the stairs.

Later, around 2 PM, they exited the north gate and headed towards Vijayanagar. The protesters gathered together with the police used the baton to disperse them when they tried. Several people were injured. One person has also been arrested. However, the police did not accept the arrest.

Motijheel Zone ADC Enamul Haque Mithu told reporters: “Any gathering without permission has been prohibited. Even then, after the prayers, some people got up to protest. We told them to move. Later, when we tried to go towards the Shahbagh crossing, we dispersed them. They tried to break through the barricade and go to Shahbag. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving office. Because they didn’t bring any banners.
