Six kilometers from the Padma Bridge are visible

Span 40 (2-E) has been installed on piers 11 and 12 at the Mawa end of the Padma Bridge. As a result, six kilometers of the bridge are visible. The stretch was installed at 10:58 am on Friday.

This section was installed 7 days after the installation of section 39. There is only one section left to make the entire bridge visible. On November 26, span 39 was placed at poles 10 and 11 on the Mawa side.

Abdul Quader told Prothom Alo that the 40th 150-meter stretch was taken in front of the designated pole by a floating crane from Kumarbhog Construction Yard on Thursday morning. The span floating crane is anchored after all technical work is completed. The installation of the section began at 9:20 am today. At 10:57 the stage was successfully laid.

The last section 41 will be placed at poles 12 and 13 before December 16. The section is ready at Mawa Construction Yard.

Meanwhile, 2,917 road slabs will be required for the construction of the Padma Bridge. Of these, 1,239 road slabs have been installed according to the November 30 calculation. In addition, 2,959 railway floors will be installed. Of these, 1,060 have been installed so far.
