Saeed Tariqul Hasan, AIG (Operations) of the Police Headquarters, BPM no longer exists (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). He died of a heart attack Thursday afternoon. He was 45 years old.

AIG Saeed suddenly felt severe pain in his chest while conducting government duties in Bandarban. He was rushed to Chittagong Combined Military Hospital (CMH) by helicopter and the doctor on duty declared him dead.
He is survived by his mother, his wife Ajuba Sultana, his two daughters Tasnia Anjum and Wadia Arwa, a brother, a sister, and many relatives and fans.
AIG Saeed Tariqul was born on November 26, 1965 in the village of Mudipara, under the Dinajpur Sadar Police Station, into an aristocratic Muslim family. His father’s name was Aminul Islam and his mother was Morsheda Khatun.
He joined the Bangladesh Police as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in group 20 of BCS (Police). In his career, he has served as Rangamati District Police Superintendent with the utmost honesty and efficiency.
He has served as AIG in the section of Recruitment and Career Planning, UN Affairs, Community Police and Last Operations in the Police Headquarters.
AIG Saeed holds a Bachelor’s (Honors) and a Master’s in Pharmacy from Dhaka University. He received the BPM Medal in recognition of his achievements and professional skills. He has received the IGP badge four times.
His janaza will take place at 11am on Friday (December 4) at the Rajarbagh Police Lines Shaheed SI Shiru Mia Auditorium. The news of his sudden death reached the police headquarters and cast a shadow of deep mourning on the officers and fellow police officers.
