Police AIG Saeed Tariqul Hasan no longer exists

He died of a heart attack Thursday afternoon, according to a press release from the police station.

Saeed Tariqul, a police superintendent, was 45 years old. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed have expressed their regret at his death.

According to the press release, Saeed suddenly felt severe pain in his chest in the afternoon while performing his official duties in Bandarban. He was immediately airlifted to Chittagong Combined Military Hospital (CMH). The doctor on duty declared him dead.

Saeed Tariqul was born on November 26, 1985 in Mudipara Village of Sadar Police Station in Dinajpur District. His father’s name is Aminul Islam and his mother’s is Morsheda Khatun.

He is survived by his mother, a brother and a sister, his wife Ajuba Sultana and two daughters.

Saeed Tariqul holds Bachelor’s (Honors) and Master’s in Pharmacy from Dhaka University. He joined the Bangladesh Police as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in group 20 of BCS (Police).

In his career, Saeed Tariqul has served as the Rangamati District Police Superintendent. He was the AIG of the Recruitment and Career Planning, UN Affairs, Community Surveillance and Last Operations wing at the Police Headquarters.

He received the BPM Medal in recognition of his achievements and professional skills. He has received the IGP badge four times.

Saeed’s janaza will take place at 11am on Friday at Rajarbagh Police Lines’ Shaheed SI Shiru Mia Auditorium.

The Prime Minister’s condolences

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her deep sorrow over the death of AIG Saeed Tariqul Hasan.

In a message of condolence on Thursday, the Prime Minister wished peace to the souls of the deceased and extended his condolences to the grieving relatives.

IGP mourning

IGP Benazir Ahmed has expressed deep sorrow at the untimely death of AIG Saeed Tariqul Hasan.

The IGP said: “Saeed Tariqul Hasan was a skilled, talented and promising police officer. In his death, the Bangladesh police lost an ideal and worthy officer. “

The IGP wished him reassurance and expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
