Fires often occur when gas leaks from gas lines and stove connections.

The Energy Department of the Ministry of Energy, Energy and Mineral Resources has suggested several precautions to avoid this accident. Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company supplies gas to 14 districts of the country, including Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Narsingdi and Mymensingh. Recently, the Minister of State for Energy, Energy and Mineral Resources, Nasrul Hamid, posted on his Facebook page some suggestions to prevent gas accidents.

What to do to prevent gas accidents
Maintain constant ventilation in the kitchen to avoid gas accidents in the home. If gas is also emitted in the kitchen, it will be blown out of the house into the air. If your kitchen windows and doors are closed, turn on the stove at least 10 to 15 minutes after opening the doors and windows and turn on the electrical switch.

If you smell gas, do not light the stove in any way and do not turn on the electric light.

Turn the oven off at the end of each cooking. Regularly check the gas line and orifices in the range.
