Professor Mizanur Rahman said at yesterday’s meeting that a grade will be awarded to students who are willing to be admitted based on this exam. Subsequently, the universities will publish announcements in the newspapers about the admission of students indicating their respective conditions and demands. Universities will admit students based on their test scores.
At the meeting it was decided that the questions for the admission test would be based on the upper secondary study program.
According to the UGC, the 19 universities that decided to admit students in groups yesterday are the Islamic University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Khulna University, Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology, Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology , Noakhali University of Science and Technology, Jagannath University. Comilla University, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Jessore University of Science and Technology, Begum Rokeya University, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Barisal University, University of Rangamati Science and Technology, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science and Technology.
A UGC official said meetings with agricultural colleges and engineering colleges will also be held soon. There will be a final decision on the admission test at these universities.
UGC President Kazi Shahidullah addressed the meeting virtually joining yesterday’s meeting. He said there is no possibility of withdrawing from the cluster system admission test due to the coronavirus.
