A madrasa student was raped in Khulna’s Paikgachha upazila while presenting an assignment. The police have arrested the super charged madrasa in the incident.
On Wednesday, the victim’s grandmother filed a rape case at Paikgachha Police Station, No. 02, dated 12-02-2020. The police sent the victim to Khulna Medical College Hospital for a medical examination.
The name of the accused super madrasa. Habibur Rahman (55 years old). He is the superintendent of Lashkar-Paikgachha Islamia Dakhil Madrasa under Paikgachha upazila and son of the late Abdul Hakim Sardar from Khirol village in Koyra upazila.
According to sources in the case, Habibur Rahman has been working as the superintendent of Lashkar-Paikgachha Islamia Dakhil Madrasa under Paikgachha upazila for about a year and a half.
Last Monday, Habibur Rahman went to the home of a fourth-grader next to the madrasa and asked him to bring home an assignment.
Later that day, when the girl went to the madrasa to turn in the homework, Habibur took her to her room and raped her.
When the girl returned home crying, her grandmother reported the matter to the police with the help of the locals.
Habibur Rahman, the superintendent of Madrasa, was arrested on the instructions of the CO from Paikgachha Police Station.
