The forecast says that 1 to 2 depressions are likely to occur in the Bay of Bengal this month, one of which could turn into a cyclone. However, it will not reach the coast of Bangladesh, the Meteorological Department said.
The long-term forecast further states that the country may receive normal rains this month. Daytime and nighttime temperatures can gradually decrease. However, the average temperature can remain normal. Light to moderate fog can fall on the country’s river basins from dawn to dusk. There will be a normal situation in the rivers. The average daily insolation can be 4 to 5 hours.
Meanwhile, cyclones were forecast in the Bay of Bengal last October and November. However, it turned into a deep depression in October, but it did not turn into a cyclone. Although it took the form of a cyclone in November, it did not affect Bangladesh. Not only that, the long-term forecast for most months of the current year was a cyclone forecast.
