Gold prices fell again in a week. This time, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set the new price for gold by reducing it by 1,018 Tk per gram. The new price will be effective from Wednesday.

The information was released in a circular signed by Bajus Chairman Enamul Haque Khan and Secretary General Dilip Kumar Agarwala on Tuesday night.

Previously, on November 25, the association had reduced the price of gold by 2,506 taka. As a result, the price of gold has fallen by 3,073 Tk per gram in two phases in one week.

Bajus said in a statement that despite the global economy, the depreciation of the dollar and oil before the second wave of the crown, and the rise and fall of prices in the international and national gold market, for the second time in a week . The money was reduced.

Based on the new gold price, as of Wednesday, the price of 22-karat (11.64 grams) gold bhari will be 62,006 rupees, which was selling at 63,733 rupees as of Tuesday. The 21-karat gold will be sold at Tk 69,518 an ounce from Wednesday, down from Tk 80,064 on Tuesday.

Similarly, 18 karat gold was reduced by Tk 1,018 to Tk 60,069 and heavy gold was set at Tk 50,446 according to the traditional method.

Meanwhile, despite falling gold prices, the default price for silver remains. The 22 karat silver bhari will be priced at Rs 1,518, 21 karat Rs 1,435 and 18 karat will be Rs 1,225. Apart from this, the traditional method of silver will cost 933 rupees.
