The Minister of State for Religion, Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, has urged not to make provocative statements about the sculpture. He said that sculpture and sculpture are not one. There is a misunderstanding about this. There may be misunderstandings. Any problem can be resolved through discussion.

He made the remarks during a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Religious Reporters Forum (RRF) at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The leaders of the organization headed by RRF President Fayez Ullah Bhuiyan and Secretary General Ubaidullah Badal welcomed the minister of state with a bouquet of flowers. Among others, RRF Vice President Moniruzzaman Ujjwal, Deputy Secretary Muhammad Naimuddin, Finance Secretary Rakibul Haque, Organizational Secretary Kamruzzaman Bablu, Advertising and Publications Secretary Bahram Khan, Executive Member Shamsul Islam, Mohsinul Karim Lebu, the member Masudul Haque, Masud Rana, Saidul Islam and others were present.

The minister of state said that everyone should be more restrained with provocative speeches. At the same time, he urged media staff not to bring up the issue of sculptures and statues.

He said the government’s antimilitancy and counterterrorism activities will continue. Apart from this, an interreligious dialogue will be organized at different levels of society with representatives of all religious communities to maintain community harmony.

The minister of state said: “Whatever religion we do, we have to give him the opportunity to practice his religion.” All religions claim to be a good person, not to do evil or evil, not to harm others. If you forget religious differences and try to be a good person, you will get good results.

Addressing RRF leaders, he said constructive advice from media staff would help people deliver services and fulfill their responsibilities.
