It is known that Jannatul Hasin used to live at his sister’s house in Dhaka. He was an apprentice at Mercantile Bank in Mirpur after graduating from Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). He went home to Comilla on Monday night. He woke up and stayed home until noon. She went out to buy shampoo at the store around noon. Soon after, it was learned that he had committed suicide by jumping from the ninth floor of a building under construction next door.

The incident took place around 1.30 pm Tuesday near the neighborhood councilor’s office behind the city corporation office in Jhautla, Comilla. Hasin is the daughter of Idris Mehdi from the area.

It is known that Father Idris Mehedi lives with his family in the city’s Jhautola. He has three daughters and a son. The deceased was identified as Jannatul Hasin Mejo. He runs a clothing business in Dhaka.

Idris Mehedi said the eldest daughter Jannatul and her husband are employees. Hasin lived with them. He was an apprentice at a Mercantile Bank branch in Mirpur-6.

Asked about the cause of the suicide, Idris could not give any idea. She doesn’t know if she was in a relationship with a boy.

Comilla Kotwali Model Police Station OC Anwarul Haque said the girl died after jumping from the roof of a multi-story building under construction. As such, we will initially say: suicide. An autopsy will be performed and the cause of death can be determined.
