The 42nd and 43rd BCS notices have been issued by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC). The 42nd BCS is special and the 43rd is general.
A notification in this regard has been posted on the PSC website.

According to the notification, 2,000 doctors will go through the 42nd special BCS. And in 43 BCS 1,614 officers will be taken in different cadres. In total, about 4,000 positions will be filled. The highest number of positions in the 43rd BCS is 843 in education. In addition, 300 will be appointed in administration, 100 in police, 25 in foreign relations, 35 in auditing, 19 in taxes, 14 in customs, 20 in cooperatives, 65 in dentists and 363 in other cadres.
The notification from the 42nd BCS said the online application will begin at 10 a.m. on December 6. It will continue until 6 pm on December 26. Candidates can submit the application fee within the next 72 hours.
Online application for the 43rd BCS will begin at 10 am on December 30. The last application date is January 31, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
More than four and a half lakhs of candidates await the preliminary examination at the 41st BCS. PSC published the 41st BCS notice on November 26 of last year. It involves appointing 2,135 officials in different positions. In addition, PSC has taken the 40th BCS written exam. Now the candidates await the announcement of the day of the oral exam.
Online application for the 43rd BCS Special can begin on December 1. It will continue until January 31, 2021.
