In his first television interview since Sunday after losing a second term in office, US President Donald Trump indicated Sunday that he would never accept the defeat of Joe Biden and would not withdraw his accusations of widespread electoral fraud.
“It is impossible to change my attitude about electoral fraud,” Trump told Fox News’ Maria Bertiromo in an interview. In six months, my attitude will not change.
“It was a rigged election,” he said, without elaborating on the allegations of vote rigging. This election was absolutely fraudulent.
“We have won these elections very easily,” he said.
That 45-minute interview was biased in favor of irrational accusations of voter fraud. And this was Trump’s first television interview since the Nov. 3 election.
Despite Trump’s unprecedented attack on the fair process of the US elections, his legal team has thus far failed to present any convincing evidence in court.
Although case after case was presented in the country’s courts under the pretext of electoral fraud, the judges rejected these cases. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has denied the allegations in a statement released on Friday saying: “Similar and unsubstantiated allegations have been made more than once about the elections. AFP
