On Sunday, various media outlets quoted Nepal’s Kathmandu Post as saying that Chinese Defense Minister Wei Feng would come to Dhaka after his visit to Nepal.

But a reliable source in Dhaka confirmed to Jugantar on Sunday night that the Chinese defense minister would not be coming to Dhaka.

Earlier on Sunday, an online report in the Kathmandu Post reported that the Chinese defense minister was currently in Nepal on a surprise one-day visit.

On Sunday, he will have a courtesy visit to Nepalese Prime Minister and Defense Minister KP Sharma Oli, as well as a courtesy visit to the country’s President Vidya Devi. After that visit, you will visit Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The report did not mention any source in this regard. But reliable sources in Dhaka said that Chinese Defense Minister Wei Feng will not come to Bangladesh. However, the source said that he was supposed to go to Bangladesh.

The source also did not say why the Chinese defense minister’s visit was canceled.

Indian Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Sringla returned home on Friday after a two-day visit to Nepal amid tensions on the China-India border.
