The latest information on the coronavirus situation in the country was issued by the Health Department in a press release on Sunday afternoon.

Bangladesh is ranked 26th in the world in terms of the Johns Hopkins University list and 33rd in terms of death toll.

The number of patients identified in the world so far has already exceeded 6 crore 22 lakhs; The death toll has exceeded 14 lakh 53 thousand.

According to the Department of Health, 13,738 samples have been analyzed in 118 laboratories across the country in the last 24 hours. So far 26 lakh 57,329 samples have been tested.

Taking into account the 24-hour sample test, the detection rate is 13.02 percent, so far the total detection rate is 16.6 percent. Recognized, the recovery rate is 61.6 percent and the mortality rate is 1.43 percent.

Of those who died on the last day, 23 were men and 8 were women. They all died in the hospital.

Of them, 19 were over 60 years old, 8 between 51 and 60 years old and 2 between 41 and 50 years old.

Among those killed, 23 were residents of the Dhaka division, 4 from each of the Chittagong and Rangpur divisions and 1 from each of the Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.

Of the 6,709 deaths in the country so far, 5,065 are men and 1,534 are women.

3,511 of them were over 60 years old. In addition, 1,626 people from 51 to 60 years old, 696 people from 41 to 50 years old, 342 people from 31 to 40 years old, 148 people from 21 to 30 years old, 53 people from 11 to 20 years old and 31 people I was under 10 years old.
