The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has handed over to the police five candidates accused of cheating in the recruitment test. Five candidates were arrested and turned over to the police during the office assistant recruiting test on Saturday.

The arrested candidates are Mohammad Al Mamun from Garma village in Netrokona, Mohammad Hamim from Deola Shibpur village in Bhola, Mohammad Akram Hossain from Baghutia village in Faridpur and Mohammad Takrim Ahmed from Mymensingh village in Brahmanbaria.

According to ministry sources, the written test for the appointment of the office assistants of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism was carried out in six centers in the capital last Friday. The examiner was suspicious of the behavior and responses of these examinees during the oral examination on Saturday. At this time they were asked to answer various questions given in the written test, but did not give the answer during the oral test. At this time, the board members checked their handwriting and saw that the letter mentioned on the answer sheet was not theirs.

During preliminary questioning, examinee Mohammad Al Mamun Talukder admitted that Saikat Zaman conducted a written test. Another candidate, Mr. Hamim, admitted that Mr. Sumon Khandaker, son of Md. Kefayet Ullah Khandaker from Borhanuddin upazila from Bhola district, participated in the written test.

Candidate Mohammad Akram Hossain said that Jewel Matubbar, son of Harun Matubbar from Nagarkanda upazila from Faridpur district, participated in the written test. Takrim Ahmed, an examinee, admitted that he was tested by an Omar Farooq with a contract worth 10,000 Tk. Another examinee, Md. Anwar Hossain admitted that Alamgir Kabir, who worked at BRDB, had reached an agreement with a person through Sarkar. That person gave you the test.
