The demonstration was jointly organized by Bhasani Anusari Parishad, the Council for the Rights of Students, Youth and Workers, Rashtrachinta and Gana Sanghati Andolan.
Dr. Jafrullah Chowdhury said that if everyone’s united struggle is united, the government will not find a way to escape. They will drop in 15 days. So everyone must unite and fight hard. If a popular government is formed, education, health care and human rights will be established at half price.
Jonaid Saki, the chief coordinator of the Gana Sanghati movement, said the government should step down after handing over power to a government at election time. It must be selected. The ground beneath your feet falls off. They create fear and intimidation. In fact, they are afraid of themselves. One day the people will bring this government to justice.
Hasnat Qayyum, a member of the state think tank and a lawyer for the Bangladesh Supreme Court, said the government was dividing the people. They are doing divisive politics.
“We have won the quota movement, we were in the safe roads movement, now we have to reform the state,” said Nurul Haque Nur, the Daksh vice president who recently left. The government is spreading communalism. The government is playing a terrible game. The new ones are in collusion with the communal forces.
