Top nuclear scientist killed
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the country’s top nuclear scientist, was killed in a terrorist attack near the Iranian capital, Tehran. US President Donald Trump has retweeted a tweet from an Israeli journalist in support of the attack.
“This is a major psychological and effective blow to Iran,” Yossi Melman, a veteran journalist with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, wrote in a tweet.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh has been killed in Damavand, east of Tehran, according to reports from Iran. He was the head of Iran’s secret military program and was wanted for many years by Mossad. His death is a great psychological and professional blow to Iran.

Iran’s army chief Major General Sayyed Abdur Rahim Mousavi blamed Israel and the United States for the attack.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Javed Zarif condemned Fakhrizadeh’s assassination. He indicated that Israel was behind the attack.
