Noted actor and director Ali Jaker has passed away. He had been fighting cancer for a long time. The actor was admitted to the United Hospital in Dhaka two weeks ago. He died at 6:40 am on Friday. News of his death was first reported by the Asiatic Three Sixty, an advertising agency created by him. He also had a corona infection. Ali Jaker’s son, Iresh Jaker, posted the news on Facebook two days ago.
Ali Jaker has been a regular on stage and television since the 1970s and 1990s. He also received the Ekushey Padak.

Former Culture Minister and Liberation War Museum Trustee Asaduzzaman Noor told bdnews24.com that Ali Jaker’s body would be brought to the premises of the Liberation War Museum at 11 a.m. Friday.

Ali Jaker’s body will be taken to the Banani Cemetery at noon. He will be buried there after Janazah in the cemetery mosque.
After a week of treatment at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital, Ali Jaker returned home last Sunday. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred again to United Hospital on Thursday. He died there on Friday morning. He was 6 years old at the time of his death. He was born in 1944 in Chittagong.
