Chhatra League will not allow Mamunul Haque to enter Chittagong

The announcement was made at a rally held at the Chittagong Press Club premises on Thursday afternoon (November 26). The leaders and activists of the Nagar Chhatra League organized the demonstration under the slogan “Students Against Militancy and Youth Unity Council”.
Mofizur Rahman, Secretary General of the Southern District Awami League, said at the rally that the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the architect of Bangladesh. We get freedom through your hands. But now some religious businessmen criticize him. He is obstructing the construction of the Bangabandhu sculpture. The comments made by anti-independence religious businessman Mamunul Haque about Bangabandhu amount to treason. Not only in Chittagong, but anywhere in Bangladesh, Mamunul Haque, who criticizes the Bangabandhu sculpture, will not be able to hold a meeting.
Chittagong BCL General Secretary Chowdhury Farid, former General Secretary Shuklal Das, journalist leader Masudul Haque, former BCL Chairman MR Azim, former General Secretary Mohammad also spoke at the rally chaired by Nagar BCL President Imran Ahmed Emu. Salahuddin, the leader of the Chhatra League, Mohiuddin Shah, Abul Hossain Abu and others. Nagar Chhatra League General Secretary Zakaria Dastagir chaired the meeting.
In his speech, Imran Ahmed Emu said: “We condemn the comments made by Mamunul Haque about Bangabandhu, the architect of independent Bangladesh.” Their assembly will not be held in Chittagong. Mamunul Haque will not be able to enter Chittagong in any way. Of course it will resist you. We will not return home without resisting him. At the end of the rally, an effigy of Mamunul Haque was burned at the rally site.
By the way, an organization called ‘Al Amin Sangstha’ has organized a three-day ‘Tafsirul Quran Mahfil-2020’ starting on November 25 on the grounds of the Parbati model government high school in Hathazari Sadar. The company organizes this meeting every winter. On the last day of the mahfil, Mamunul Haque was invited to the mahfil.
