The Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam, Nur Hossain Qasemi, has demanded an end to the construction of animal or human figures. He warned that otherwise a strong mass movement would form with the people. He made the remarks while addressing an emergency meeting of academics at Jamia Madania Baridhara Madrasa on Thursday (November 26) morning.
Hefazat Secretary General Nur Hossain Qasemi said: “Some insidious neighborhoods, including the Mancha Liberation War, are constantly lying against the Alem-Ulama-centered Imani movement against the construction of animal sculptures. Extremely offensive statements are also being made about Shaikhul Hadith Allama Azizul Haq and Maulana Syed Muhammad Fazlul Karim. They are trying to dilute the water by asking unrealistic and unsubstantiated questions about their role in the great liberation war. The government must stop this neglect immediately.
The meeting was attended by Maulana Abul Kalam, Maulana Abdur Rab Yousufi, Maulana Mahfuzul Haque, Mufti Enamul Haque, Maulana Ubaidullah Farooq, Maulana Bahauddin Zakaria, Maulana Rashid Ahmad, Maulana Maulana Maulana.
