Hefazat leader Rahim Ullah Qasemi passed away

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Deputy General Secretary Alem Deen Mufti Rahim Ullah Qasemi (69) passed away. He died at Ibn Sina Hospital in Dhaka at 11:50 pm on Wednesday.

His janaza was held at Gunakbabupur Moinul Islam Madrasa at the Dhalia Union of Feni Sadar Upazila on Thursday afternoon. Thousands of people flocked to the janaza.

Before his death, Mufti Rahim Ullah Qasemi was a muhaddis from Lalpol Sultania Madrasa in Feni Sadar Upazila. Dhalia Gunakbabupur was the founding director of Darul Uloom Muinul Islam Madrasa. He was given the responsibility of Deputy Secretary General in the newly elected committee of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh.

Maulana Qari Muhammad Kashem, along with Maulana Junaid Babungari, Emir of Hifazat-e-Islam and Maulana Noor Hossain Kasemi, Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam, have expressed their deep sorrow and sympathy at his death. They seek forgiveness from the soul of the deceased.

His janaza was held at Gunakbabupur Moinul Islam Madrasa at the Dhalia Union of Feni Sadar Upazila on Thursday afternoon. Thousands of people flocked to the janaza. He was buried in his home after Janaza.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. On March 9, Mufti Rahim Ullah Qasemi suffered a heart attack.
