Afroza Begum, 53, a Secondary Education Officer from Jamalpur Sadar Upazila, died after falling from a motorcycle on her way back to the office after taking the teacher recruitment exam. The accident occurred on Wednesday (November 25) afternoon. He died at Jamalpur Sadar Hospital around 7pm.
Sources from the Education Office said that Jamalpur Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Afroza Begum went to a school in Sadar’s Nandina on Wednesday afternoon to take the assistant principal recruitment test. Academic supervisor of his office in the afternoon after work. Haider Ali was returning to the office on a motorcycle with him behind him. On the way, Afroza Begum fell from a moving motorcycle in the Sharifpur Bagali area of the Mymensingh-Jamalpur highway around 4pm. He received a serious head injury. The locals rescued him from there and rushed him to Jamalpur Sadar Hospital. He died at 6 p.m. while receiving treatment there.
Jamalpur District Education Official (Acting) Monira Mustari Eva said that the home of Secondary Education Officer Afroza Begum is in Kapasia Upazila of Gazipur District. They have their own house in Khilgaon in Dhaka.
Said the police officer in charge of Jamalpur Sadar (OC). Rezaul Karim Khan said Afroza Begum was a government official. Therefore, legal action will be taken after the autopsy.
