Abrar’s uncle, Momirul, further told the court that on October 8 last year, around 8 pm, Abrar was called from his room and thrown into room number 2011 and beaten to death by BCL activists. That day he went to the provost’s room down the hall.

He told the principal: ‘You killed a student in your classroom, but you did not protest. Then the provost said: “If you protest, you will also kill us.”

Momirul Islam said he saw the video from the closed circuit camera (CCTV) in the room with the help of the police. In it, he saw that after killing Abrar, the defendant grabbed his body and left it on the ground floor porch.

Rafiqul Hasan, a CID forensic officer, told the court that the mobile phones of three defendants in the murder case of BUET Abrar student and screenshots from a Facebook messaging group were seized as evidence. The investigator of the case requested a forensic examination. Forensic examination of these symptoms is done after obtaining permission from the court. The forensic examination revealed the existence of two Facebook groups. One group has 10 members and the other has 39 members. The forensic examination report has been submitted to the court.
