The religious people of traditional India grant the status of creator to the cow. The animal is adored in most of the country. Even the slaughter of cows is prohibited throughout India. Meanwhile, this time the Madhya Pradesh government seems to have outdone everyone.
The BJP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is known to have decided to form a separate cabinet for livestock, create sanctuaries and levy taxes for maintenance. And that cabinet has been called “Cabinet of cows”.
According to the Deutsche Welle report, the Prime Minister of Madhya Pradesh has now taken up the plan to take over all livestock programs. In livestock politics, he has come a long way, beating all his opponents and his party.
The six ministries are Livestock, Forests, Panchayat, Agriculture, Internal Affairs and Finance. They will be primarily concerned with the maintenance and welfare of the cows. A cabinet meeting was held recently and it was decided to install stables throughout the state.
Last Sunday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said a small tax would be levied for the welfare of cows and the construction of stables. We give the first loaf of bread to the cow in the morning and the last loaf of bread to the dog in the evening. This is why some money can be taken away from people for cows.
Experts say that although there are sanctuaries for tigers, lions and rhinos in India, until now there has been no such arrangement for cows. The government has also made special arrangements for crocodiles and endangered species. So this plan by the Madhya Pradesh government is elegant and praiseworthy.
