Dhaka: The seven-story Mohakhali slum in the capital was burned in a terrible fire. A teenager named Rakib Islam (15) was admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. The fire burned 25 percent of his body.

Rakib, son of Yunus Ali from the village of Matkala in the area of the Hossainpur Police Station in Kishoreganj. Rakib is the youngest of two brothers and three sisters. Although his family lived in the village, he lived in the home of an acquaintance in a seven-story poor neighborhood and worked as a truck laborer.
Burned Rakib himself said that he returned home before 10pm last night and fell asleep after eating. After a while, his sleep was disturbed by the heat of the body fire while he slept. He looked around and saw the fire burning. He immediately ran out of the house but had his hands, legs and chest burned. He was later rescued by the locals and admitted to the Burn Institute for the night.
According to the doctor in charge of the Burn Institute emergency department, 25 percent of Rakib’s hands, legs and chest were burned. You are receiving emergency treatment. She is not safe.
