Dhaka: The Ministry of Public Administrations has sent a demand to the Public Services Commission (PSC) to recruit 1,614 people in different cadres through the 43rd BCS.
Additional Secretary of the Secretary of Contracting, Promotion and Provincial Council of Public Administrations (APD). Mokammel Hossain confirmed this information to banglanews on Monday (November 23).
According to the Ministry of Public Administration, 743 people are in the educational cadre, 300 people in the administration cadre, 100 people in the police cadre, 25 people in the foreign cadre, 35 people in the audit, 19 people in the tax, 14 people in customs, 20 people in cooperatives and 65 people in dental surgeons through the 43rd General BCS. And a demand was sent to the PSC for the recruitment of 363 people in other cadres.
To recruit through general BCS, PSC recruits with preliminary exam, ie MCQ, written and oral. And in the case of special BSS, only preliminary and oral examinations are designated.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice on November 18 amending the Bangladesh Civil Service Rules (Age, Qualification and Examination for Direct Recruitment), 2014 to appoint emergency physicians to deal with the crisis. Two thousand doctors will be hired through the 42nd special BCS.
Even before this, when special BCS was taken for the appointment of doctors in 2016, the rules had to be changed.
