Monir Hossain alias Golden Monir will be dismissed if the allegation of irregularities in the ownership of 200 parcels is proven, said the president of the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK). Saeed Nur Alam. He said this in response to a question from reporters at the local government department on Sunday.
Regarding the seizure of 200 documents from the Golden Monir house plot and the control of the employees of the Baddar house, the RAJUK president said: “We will investigate them. Departmental actions will be taken against all those who will be identified in the investigation and the case in court will continue.
‘We believe that it is not a one-day process, it is a long-term process. We have been able to unveil it in so many days. The first inauguration took place last year and since then we have been taking action. This arrangement will continue until the last issue is revealed.
The president further said: ‘The operation was carried out in a room at RAJUK last year. That room was rented out. We recovered 72 documents from this room. A case has been brought to the Motijheel police station to retrieve the documents. At that time an employee was arrested and handed over to the police station. A departmental case has been filed against that employee and the case is ongoing. An investigation is also underway. Action will also be taken against those involved in this, if the police make a complaint and if they identify themselves.
Regarding the VIP protocol given to Golden Monir by RAJUK, the president said: “I follow the rules according to the official documents. No VIP protocol has been given to anyone here or it is not about giving. There was no violation of the rules here.
The RAJUK president further said: “We have begun to expose their irregularities. Disclosures have been made and I am definitely taking action on those to be revealed in the future. Judicial and departmental arrangements are being made in court.
‘It is necessary to verify the possession of 200 parcels. A decision must be made after verification and selection. There will be no irregularities in the future, “added the president.
