Armed Forces Day is celebrated in Riyadh

Dhaka: Armed Forces Day has been celebrated with due dignity at the Bangladeshi Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A discussion meeting was held in the auditorium of the embassy on the occasion of the day.

At the beginning of the meeting, the messages from the President and Prime Minister were read.

On Saturday (November 21), the Bangladeshi Embassy in Riyadh said the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr. on the occasion of Armed Forces Day. Mohammad Jabed Patwari BPM (Bar) said: “We were able to achieve great independence through the struggle and resistance of the armed forces and heroic freedom fighters under the leadership of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.” On this day in 1971, the combined aggression of the Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air Force disoriented the Pak aggressors, hastening our victory.

At that time, the Ambassador remembered with deep respect the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 3 million martyrs and 2 lakhs of mothers and sisters who lost their dignity in the liberation war.

The Ambassador said that the nation remembers with deep respect the contribution of the Armed Forces in our great war of liberation.

“The Armed Forces are playing an impeccable role in maintaining world peace, which is a source of great pride for Bangladesh. In many crisis-ravaged countries around the world, armed peacekeeping forces are successfully serving UN peacekeeping missions. The current government has formulated Forces Goal-2030 to modernize the Armed Forces, which will make the Armed Forces more efficient, modern and dynamic. ‘
