He said: ‘National producers and directors have support for Bollywood movie release. Not just like some of the artists from the Artists Association. But I’m going to make that decision to save the industry.
Mia Alauddin added: ‘Even before Corona, we had a good movie crisis here. And after Corona, the situation is worse. The hall was opened with high hopes. But nobody is interested in releasing the movie. They don’t think about how the room will work if there is no movie. Therefore, considering the situation, arrangements are being made to import Bollywood movies.
Iftekhar Uddin Nowshad, former president of the Bangladesh Hall Owners Association, told the Daily Star: Many famous movie theaters in the world have been closed due to the Corona epidemic. Here we are also in a bad situation. New Indian images can be run on an experimental basis. I can save? If there is no positive response from the audience, the Bollywood movie release will stop.
Previously, old Hindi movies were released under the SAFTA agreement. However, this time the owners want Bollywood or Kolkata movies from India to be released in Bangladesh on the same day.
