The video of the beating of an eighth grade student in Kushtia has been posted on social media Facebook. Police arrested four minors charged in the case Friday night. They were later released on bail on Saturday.
According to the file and police sources, the Thanapara teenager in Kushtia was called from his home by a friend on Wednesday afternoon. They took him to the Chandagara land of the city and some of them together with the friend beat and slapped him at random. The beating spread on Facebook on Thursday. On Friday night, the teenager’s father filed a case with the Kushtia Model Police Station. Police arrested four accused teenagers in a night raid and took them to the police station. All four were released on bail around 1 p.m. today.
Kushtia Model Police Officer-in-Charge (CO) Abul Kalam said four teenagers were arrested after the case. Each of them is between 14 and 15 years old. They were sent to court around 9:30 today.
Kushtia court inspector Rezaul Islam said his lawyer requested bail on behalf of the teenagers in court. In response to that request, the court granted them bail around one in the morning today.
