Span 36 of the Padma Bridge has been installed at the Mawa end of Munshiganj. Today, at 2:35 on Saturday, posts 1 and 2 (section 1-A) were successfully placed. Through this, 5,600 meters of the bridge became visible.
Bridge engineers say the span was scheduled to be installed on November 16. However, one of the designated docks was on the shore, the other was on the river. By digging through the dredge, the space between the two posts is made suitable for the movement of span-carrying floating cranes. Then it takes a few more days to prepare other technical problems. With the installation of section 36, only 3 sections remained for the entire bridge to be visible. These three sections will also be located on the edge of Mawa.
Bridge authorities further said that cars and trains will enter the bridge through posts # 1 and 2. The complexity of the design of the various posts at the Mawa end is due to differences in soil depth and texture. Although it is the earliest leg for this, your work starts late. To keep pace with moving work, the span installation work started from the edge of Jazira and not from the edge of Mawa.
