Dhaka: In a raid on the home of the gold smuggler ‘Golden Monir’ in the Merul Badda area of ​​the capital, the RAB seized foreign pistols, several rounds of ammunition, 600 loads of gold (eight kg), currency from 10 countries and 19 million taka.

Lt. Col. Ashiq Billah, director of the media and legal wing of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), released the information at 11:30 am on Saturday (November 21) after the operation.

He also said that, from 11 a.m. until dawn, raids on gold jewelry, weapons and money related to the identified stolen gold trade have been stopped. Two luxury cars were also seized from his home. During preliminary questioning, he admitted that there were houses and lots in more than 30 places.
