French President Emmanuel Macron has given Muslim leaders a 15-day ultimatum. He gave them an ultimatum to accept a letter to protect state values.

According to a BBC report, he has taken such a firm stance against the spread of “extremist” Islam in France.

Last Wednesday (November 16), France gave the Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) 15 days to accept the letter, according to the report.

The letter states that Islam should be accepted only as a religion, not politically. Foreign influence in French Muslim organizations has also been prohibited.

Macron and his Interior Minister Gerald Dermanian met with eight CFCM leaders at the president’s residence on Wednesday night.

At that time, Macron presented a letter to Muslim leaders. So the code of conduct for Muslims in France has been set. Are-

1. No government official may be threatened on religious grounds, as this will impose restrictions on (religious) education at home and severe punishments.

2. Muslim children will be assigned a number that will guarantee their attendance at school. If the parents disobey the law, they will be sentenced to six months in prison. Also, a large amount of fine must be paid.

3. Personal information of anyone who is at risk of loss cannot be exchanged.

The CFCM has already agreed with the government authorities to form a National Magnet Council. With the approval of the government, the council will appoint an imam from a mosque, who can later retire.

A teacher was assassinated while discussing a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the country. A month after the incident, France imposed a code of conduct on Muslim citizens.

Macron’s harsh criticism of Islam and Muslims and the announcement of satirical cartoons in the wake of the killings sparked a storm of condemnations around the world.
