A total of 31 cocktails were found in a building under construction in Uttara based on information provided by the two defendants arrested in the recent hand grenade explosion case in the Dhaka by-elections. The cocktails were recovered from the building at 13th Road, Sector 10, Uttara on Friday afternoon and exploded in a controlled manner.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akter confirmed the matter. He said: ‘The two people arrested said in preliminary questioning that they had prepared cocktails while sitting in the building under construction. Later on the day of the vote, it exploded in front of the center.

Police filed a case with the Uttara East Police Station on 12 November for the bombing in front of the Maleka Banu Adarsh ​​Vidyaniketan School Center in Uttara on the day of the Dhaka-17 by-election. Following the investigation of the case, two people named Mamun and Sumon were arrested in the Uttara area on Friday afternoon.

Additional Commissioner Hafeez said: “According to the information provided by them, the police went to the house under construction in the Kamar Para area in the afternoon. There are 31 fresh cocktails available.

On that news, the police bomb disposal team went there at night. Bombs were detonated in a controlled manner. The police officer said that action was being taken against the two detainees according to the law.
