You no longer have to rush to hospitals or special health centers to find out if you have cavities. It can be tested at home with a self-assessment kit. Results can be found in half an hour. This is the first time that such a self-assessment kit will be available in the homes of US citizens. Kavid’s kit was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday. The kit is manufactured by a private company called ‘Lucira Health’.
According to the FDA, the Quid Self-Assessment Kit will be able to report results by examining swabs (nasal swabs) that have come out of the nostrils of older people 14 years of age and older. This self-test kit has been approved in an emergency so that anyone can tell if they have been infected with corona at home. However, the kit cannot be used more than once.
FDA Commissioner Stephen Hann said: “The United States has already approved the Cavid test at home. But this is the first time that someone can take the test sitting at home. And you will be able to see the result in half an hour.
