According to the directive, the MPO and non-MPO educational institutions of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education will charge tuition fees to students. But it will not accept any fees for assignment, tiffin, readmission, library, science library, journal and development. If accepted in the meantime, it will be refunded or adjusted with the tuition fee. Also, if any other fees are not paid, they must be reimbursed in the same way or adjusted with the tuition fee. And if a parent is in an extreme financial crisis, the authorities of the educational institution will take special consideration on the issue of tuition for their child. Care must be taken not to interrupt the academic life of any student.
The board further said that if the Corona situation does not return to normal in early 2021, then educational institutions will not be able to charge any fees to students for fees such as tiffin, readmission, library, scientific library, magazine, development sector. However, if the situation is normal, then all kinds of reasonable fees can be taken as before.
The parents demanded a reduction in tuition fees during the coronation period. The parents have also held a human chain and a press conference. They demanded to take half of the tuition for the entire year. The parents could not be happy with the instructions from the Mausi Department. They say that on the one hand the school was closed, on the other hand they have suffered economic losses at this time in Corona. For this reason, it is not possible for them to pay full tuition.
On the other hand, education authorities say that even if the institution is closed, teachers and staff have to spend a certain amount of money each month on salaries and school maintenance. Many schools have also taken regular classes online.
