Many leaders of different political parties have found a place in the new committee of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh. It has been alleged that the majority of the 151-member committee members are leaders of the 20-party alliance led by BNP-Jamaat. Furthermore, some Jamaat leaders have also joined the committee. Some of the leaders who were elected in the last parliamentary elections (former MP Maulana Shahinur Pasha Chowdhury, Munir Hossain, Obaidullah Farooq) have also secured important posts on Hifazat’s central committee. Between us, at least 80 to 90 leaders of different political parties, including Jamiat Ulayam Islam, have seats on this committee. We want an organization free from political influence. Let there be a strong committee with all those associated with Hefazat except the political leaders.
Hefazat-e-Islam, former member of the Shura Committee. No. M Ahmadullah said: “Those who have struggled for seven or eight years but failed to form an anti-government movement through Hefazat, have joined the union.”

It is not about being in the first position.
